Founded by artist and musician, Shawn James, the Greenpoint Gallery has offered unending support and mentorship for creative youth since 2003.

The Greenpoint Gallery is not just any art gallery.

It is a ‘gallery of life’, if you will.

The Gallery’s main goal is to provide a platform for emerging artists and provide guidance when they are ready to reveal their passion to the world.

Regular Salon Shows with a rolling open call for an entries are hosted throughout the year. These shows are curated by gallery founder, Shawn James, and combine a art and music into unforgettable experiences.

Artwork sold at, or through connections, at all shows are not subjected to a commission fee by the Gallery.

The Greenpoint Gallery also offers a shared studio space, where artists can come together and collaborate, AND a recording studio with sound booth. Recording studio time, equipment rentals, and studio space rentals are all priced very affordably for emerging artists to take their first steps towards fulfilling their dreams.

Greenpoint Gallery is, and has always been, seamlessly woven into the threads of the Brooklyn artist community. It has sponsored initiatives such as the Oasis Youth and Work, Learn & Grow programs.

Since 2003, the Gallery has provided mentorship and guidance to many successful artists and musicians, and inspired hundreds of thousands of people in and around the NYC metropolitan area.
